About Us

Where the handcrafted, sparks joy and elevates your everyday.

Verve Fine Craft Gallery, located in the vibrant city of Halifax, Nova Scotia, is a distinguished destination where the world of fine craft beautifully converges with contemporary art. More than just a retail space, Verve Gallery is a dynamic hub dedicated to showcasing the exceptional regional and national talent, inviting visitors to experience the profound joy and connection that handcrafted art brings.

Our carefully curated collection features limited-edition works across diverse mediums, including exquisite ceramics, intricate textiles, masterful wood creations, sculpture and wearable art pieces. Each handcrafted piece is selected, not only for its aesthetic qualities, but also for its ability to infuse spaces with warmth, character, and a unique sense of spirit.

Through a vibrant retail experience and thoughtfully presented rotating exhibitions, Verve Gallery provides a welcoming environment for craft lovers, discerning collectors, and design-minded individuals. We believe that galleries should be an accessible and enriching part of everyday life, transforming ordinary spaces into inspiring havens.

At Verve Gallery, we guide our clientele in discovering unique, handcrafted treasures that not only elevate their homes and offices, but also spark joy, ignite their senses, and resonate deeply with their personal style. We are committed to fostering a tangible connection between our patrons and the makers' visions, ensuring that every acquisition is an investment in lasting pleasure and inspired living.

Owner Emily Blair Wareham has passionately cultivated the craft community locally and nationally for over 14 years. In her multi-faceted roles over the years she championed artists through exhibitions, residencies, and markets. Her strong background in fund development, exhibition planning and community programming enabled her to lead teams in creating impactful, culturally relevant exhibitions, fostering vibrant spaces for artists and patrons. As a recognised art jeweller in her own right, Emily is known for her attention to detail and strategic vision as she drives innovation and collaboration in the craft sector. Her commitment is evident in co-founding Co-Adorn Art Jewellery Society (2017), a thriving network that brought Canadian art jewellery to the international stage, including exhibitions at Romania and New York Jewellery Weeks. In 2022, Co-Adorn transitioned to Trōv Object Gallery, further contributing to the Canadian jewellery scene as an online shop and social enterprise. Recognizing a significant gap in Halifax's fine craft market, Emily is realizing her long-held dream of opening Verve Fine Craft Gallery. Her extensive experience provides a deep understanding of the needs of artists, consumers, and the fine craft market in Nova Scotia. Leveraging a vast network, she will curate a world-class retail gallery within a social enterprise model, offering a nurturing environment for artists and a dynamic space for discerning shoppers.
