Monologue: Feel me. Close your eyes and run your hands over my surfaces. Feel my form. Touch my handle. Hold hands with the hand of my maker – Ray. He has thrown thousands of mugs before me, mastering the technique. Clay is now fluid and responsive under his command.

See me. Open your eyes and feast upon my surface! Yellow birds amid the flowers. The rich tapestry of pattern playfully wraps itself around and over my skin. This process is done by Debra, the decorator who uses color and image with joyful abandon.

Together, they made me, a beautiful jewel of service.
