Handwoven "VERVE" Wall Hanging

In their own words, local textile artist, Pam Juarez speaks to the design process for the handwoven wall hanging she created for the front desk backdrop.

"This woven work was created to express the potential for strengthening creative relationships within Verve Gallery. Drawing inspiration from the “action potential” of nerve cells, which is the electrical impulse that travels along a neuron’s membrane to transmit signals, it translates the idea of energy and exchange into visual form. Focusing on process over outcome, Pam embraces the aesthetics and methodologies of the glitch by painting images on threads and allowing the shifting tensions of the weaving process to determine the final result."
