SHIPPING POLICY
Last Updated: August 2026
At Verve Fine Craft Gallery, we take exceptional care in packaging and transferring handcrafted artwork to ensure it arrives safely at your home. Because our pieces are original, delicate, or one-of-a-kind, please review our shipping guidelines below.
1. Order Processing & Packaging
-
Processing Time: Standard orders are processed, custom-packed, and dispatched within 3 to 5 business days. Oversized, heavy, or ultra-fragile items requiring custom crating may require additional handling time, which will be communicated upon purchase.
-
Expert Packaging: Each artwork is personally packed in-house using techniques gained from years of professional fine art handling experience to ensure your piece is fully protected during transit.
-
Eco-Conscious Materials: In our effort to reduce waste and keep costs down, we prioritize reusing high-quality, sturdy packaging materials (such as boxes, foam, and bubble wrap) that arrive at our gallery directly from our artists. Every reused material is carefully inspected for structural integrity before being repurposed for your shipment.
2. Carrier Services & Signature Requirements
-
Carriers: We ship using trackable premium carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, or specialized fine art couriers depending on the size and value of the work).
-
Signature Upon Delivery: To protect your investment, a signature is required upon delivery for all shipments. We cannot accommodate requests to drop packages without a signature.
-
Tracking: Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an automated email containing your carrier tracking number and estimated delivery date.
3. Shipping Insurance & Delivery Risks
-
Comprehensive Gallery Coverage: Every shipment is fully insured by Verve Fine Craft Gallery’s specialized insurance policy from the moment it leaves our premises until it is marked as delivered by the carrier.
-
Incorrect Addresses: Buyers are responsible for providing an accurate shipping address. Verve Fine Craft Gallery is not responsible for delays, re-routing fees, or lost packages due to address entry errors made at checkout.
4. Delivery Inspection & Damaged Items
-
Exterior Packaging Inspection: Upon receiving your package, inspect the outer box or crate immediately before opening.
-
48-Hour Damage Window: In the rare event that artwork arrives damaged, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery at hello@vervefinecraft.ca to be covered under our insurance policy.
-
Required Documentation: Please retain all original boxes, crates, and packing materials, and email us:
-

-

-
Clear photos of the exterior packaging (showing any punctures, crushes, or tears).

5. International Shipping & Duties
-
Customs & Import Fees: For international orders, import duties, tariffs, taxes, and customs brokerage fees are not included in the item price or checkout shipping cost. These charges are the sole responsibility of the buyer and will be collected by the carrier upon customs clearance.
-
Customs Delays: Verve Fine Craft Gallery is not responsible for unexpected delays caused by international customs processing.
