Monologue: Watching, watching… Darkness. Watching, waiting… for the sunrise, to start the day, to wake the other. Watching, wanting… to feel the warmth of their touch, a gentle caress. Watching, wistful… they pass by, they walk away. Unneeded. Watching, woeful… unable to make the first move, frozen in place. Watching. Always watching. Waiting.
